As the founder and CEO of The Illustrious Group, a wellness boutique for artists, she finds supporting artists to deepen the mind body relationship for performance to be very rewarding. Born from a family of artists, she was constantly in a state of creation as a child. Later in life, she developed a passion for wellness and decided to give back to the creative community by being a mentor in wellness. An avid practitioner of Aikido (considered to be the most ethical of martial arts training with an emphasis on controlling the motion and dynamics of movement), Courtney uses her training to bring focus and results to her creative clients. Her creative experience ranges from seminar production and behind the scenes work at the multi-million dollar QVC Network to painting and jewelry making. She has scouted out scriptwriters, reworked and shopped independent film scripts, and organized everything from costume and props to music and behind-the-scenes personnel for productions. She prides herself on understanding the creative genius from personal and professional experience. Courtney is an active member of National Speakers Association and Toastmasters' International. Courtney and her husband live in Harleysville, Pennsylvania with three cats: (Merlin, Arthur, and Guinavere) and one sadly outnumbered dog (Lilo). Courtney works with many types of artists from filmmakers to jewelry designers and every creative artisan in between. If you're feeling blocked and you're under pressure to get projects completed, contact Courtney at The Illustrious Group about clearing blocks to keep you in the innate flow of creating and balanced health. Courtney's headshot above was beautifully captured by Lori Histand Photogrpahy in 2009. |
